2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival Hit
a Hit at Philly Fringe 2008!

Once upon a time in Manhattan,

there lived a hopeful girl,

a shy guy who loved Chinese Food

...and a terribly And rightfully so!piano.

This fast-paced show has it all: romance, light comedy, city glamour, and a soaring, magnificent, original score that has been compared to music by Gershwin, Bernstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Staged with clever multimedia and performed by the original cast, this less than one-hour performance is the perfect "date show" for anyone who is or has ever been in love -- or who pines for love.

Whom should indecisive Richard choose? Who really loves him? Sarah, who promises to spice up his life -- or Elsie, the grand piano whose love inspires his music? The sexy, quirky plot makes it a fun show to share with friends, whether you're looking for love or not. Most everyone leaves "happy and humming." And even snarky cynics get a run for their money.

Will you root for the girl...

or for Elsie the He loves me. Not her.piano?

And listen up, opera-goers and musicians ...And Piano Make Three is for you too. It's the hit romantic comedy that's also real opera. This vocally demanding new work delivers the highest professional standard of coloratura soprano singing and superb piano musicianship too. Live and unplugged with no place to hide.

No, we're not just banging our own piano: ...And Piano Make Three has garnered some serious cred so far --
  • A smash hit and Critics' choice at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2007.

  • 2008 finalist for the USA's Richard Rodgers Award.

PERFORMED BY THE ORIGINAL PROFESSIONAL CAST:

New York City opera singer Patrice Boyd gives a tour de force coloratura soprano performance as Sarah, the hopeful girl with a moonstruck chance to win Richard's heart.

Award-winning opera composer Philip Seward not only plays his brilliant piano score but also sings the role of Richard, the shy, talented, but indecisive New York City composer.

Of course, Elsie, the She can't have him!piano, plays herself.

Needless to say, Elsie does not like the idea, but she might forgive you -- as long as you're not running off with that blonde singer.

So take heart: we have performance runs in Indiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Toronto, New York City and the United Kingdom already on our slate for 2009. When we're ready to reveal the details of these and other performances, you'll find them here. Whenever, wherever, you must see this show!
